Background
Scott T. Werley graduated from St. Norbert College (De Pere, Wisconsin) in May 2009 with a B.A. in Graphic Design and a concentration in Photography. Originally hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Scott started his business Scott Werley Creative shortly after his undergraduate education and has developed a critical mindset for creating everything that he possibly can. His well-balanced skillset and adaptable personality allow him to pursue almost any assignment in design, layout, typography, photography, video, web development/design, and electronic music. There is little that slips through Scott’s abilities as a creative entrepreneur.
The recipient of numerous awards for his academic achievement and creative nature, Scott pursues excellence with every ounce of his being. In February 2009, Scott earned the Jeanne M. Godschalx Art Award from St. Norbert College for his solo photography exhibit, Jellyfish Sea, which offered an intensely personal window into his existential self-reflections and meditations of himself and of our society as a whole. This was the first solo student art show exhibited at the institution in fifteen years, which met Scott with great praise and recognition as a serious fine art photographer. Additionally, Scott received the Distinguished Scholastic Achievement Award from SNC for his exceptional scholastic performance. He was granted a Trustees scholarship over four consecutive years, held a firm place on the Dean’s list every semester, and graduated magna cum laude, borderline summa cum laude.
To date, Scott has shot two private weddings, five theater performances and numerous modeling photoshoots, created eight professional logotypes, designed more than thirty posters for musicians, and developed several websites. He was honored first place for his photograph, Jellyfish Sea 1, at the 2009 SNC Student Juried Art Show. In the years prior to this honor, he had pieces frequently accepted and displayed by this prestigious show. Serving as the Creative Director of WSNC Radio for two years, Scott managed over thirty DJ’s and managed the group’s identity graphics, website content, and officers panel. His unwavering love of music, fine art, graphic communications, and group unity have played active roles in his leadership abilities in the educational sphere and beyond.
Scott plans to continue his educational calling down the road when the time is right. At the moment, he is enjoying working with others to create meaningful, professional solutions. In his downtime, Scott spends time refining his skills at the library and educating himself on new techniques to improve his abilities. When Scott takes a break from creating art, you can find him at one of the local disc golf courses, enjoying the natural world and improving on his game.
